Challenge
– Property at risk of a break in
– Risk of squatters and theft
– Property expected to be unoccupied for a while
Instruction
One of our corporate clients requested us for some help with a property in Surrey that had a break in whilst being unoccupied. Our client did not hold a key for the property as this was a new instruction following from a recent deceased and the keys could not be located by the client. The property was in a secluded area and a possible target for squatters or thieves.
Solution
We organised the change of all exterior locks to firstly obtain easy access for us and our client. We then installed an alarm system for the property to deter potentially criminals from trying to access the premises. Our client did not know how long probate would take in this situation, so they also instructed us to install boarding of all entry points like windows, doors and access ways.
Result
Probate took 1 year in total in this situation and during that period the property did not have any issues with any break ins or vandalism. We can help with an extensive list of security services from locksmithing, boarding up and even CCTV or alarm systems.
